Guidelines to Healing Successfully

When you heal yourself, you heal your family, your community, and you heal the planet.  Healing is a process that can seemingly take time, and yet the choice to engage in that process is ever-present and instantaneous.  Now is the time to wake up to the miracle of what is possible.

Food and Water are Medicine -- Eating whole organic foods and drinking plenty of water is one of the best things you can do to support your body in the healing process.  You literally are what you eat.  It is important to nourish your organs with the vital nutrients your body needs to repair imbalances and thrive.  Our bodies are at least 70% water.  Making sure you are hydrated helps to eliminate toxins and to maintain the healthy functioning of your brain and organs.  If you need more specific guidance I can provide you with dietary coaching as a part of your treatments.  

Holistic living -- Holistic living means caring for the whole body, mind and spirit in everything that we do.  It means living a lifestyle that nourishes all aspects of Self, to create a foundation of health, making choices and taking actions that promote balance and harmony within and around us.  You cannot make "healthy" choices only when symptoms of illness are present or only when it's convenient.  You must create a holistic lifestyle that includes eating well, exercising, and restful sleep.  Also, choosing holistic healing modalities like yoga, acupuncture, reiki, naturopathy, and massage help to maintain health and prevent illness.

Persistence and Commitment -- True healing is a process that takes time.  You did not develop unhealthy habits and symptoms of imbalance over night, and most of the time these things will not heal overnight either.  Healing requires persistence and commitment to creating a life of new habits and behaviors that will support your healing process.  Through the ups and downs, it is important to be consistent with healthy food, exercises and healing modalities, like acupuncture, that support your well-being. 

Infinite Possibilities -- Health and well-being are not just about avoiding illness, pain, or discomfort.  My intention for my patients is for each one to live the life of their dreams, to continue to overcome any obstacles and to be alive and awake to the miracles that are possible.  You don't have to stop healing at the absence of illness.  You can utilize healing modalities to help you transcend any limitations and to fuel your Spirit's true potential.

Being Grateful -- Acknowledging your blessings, no matter what challenges you may have, is an incredibly powerful practice.  Expressing gratitude turns your attention back to what is positive and life affirming.  Energy goes where attention flows.  When you can be grateful for what you do have, you reinforce the positive energy flow in your life, boosting your healing potential.  Everyday when you wake up and before you go to sleep, thoughtfully list at least five things you are grateful for, and watch the impact it has on your outlook and your life.

Love!! -- We are all works in progress.  No one is perfect and we all make mistakes.  Have compassion for yourself and for others.  LOVE yourself and know that you are capable of amazing and beautiful things.  We cannot heal ourselves or this planet alone. Together we can be examples of peace, forgiveness, compassion and love.  Together we can create a more positive future!
